TOEFL Requirement
All undergraduate applicants, regardless of citizenship, who have not attended schools at the secondary level or above for at least three years full time where English is the principal language of instruction must present a score of 500 or above on the Test of English as a Foreign Language.
Some campuses require a score higher than 500.
Applicants taking the Computer-Based Test of English as a Foreign Language must present a score of 173 or above.
The CSU minimum for the internet (iBT) version of the TOEFL is 61.
Some campuses may require a higher score. Applicants for a second bachelor's degree must have a TOEFL score of 550 on the paper version or 213 on the computer-based exam.
